Work for us

Could you play a part in delivering an outstanding service that improves the lives of the children in our community? If so, BCP Children's Services is looking for you.

To transform and improve our services we are looking for committed and resilient social care professionals who will be fully supported to become the best practitioner that they can whilst developing a meaningful career. We are looking for colleagues to join us who think big, enjoy a challenge and can bring fresh ideas to our services in order to help enhance the lives of our local children in childhood and beyond.

Our teams

All our children’s services in BCP Council have to start with the child and stay with the child’, whether our involvement is brief or lengthy.

The BCP practice model is child-centred practice. The frameworks to practice within are Signs of Safety and co-production practice. The degree to which these apply varies from service to service. In the same way, the interventions in the middle are child-specific and neither uniform nor universal.

The place to live

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) is the UK’s newest city region and it’s brimming with prospects, positivity and pride.

We are the tenth-largest urban local authority in England and our communities are vibrant and diverse, with an outstanding quality of life, where everyone plays an active role.
