Intermediate Motivational Interviewing – 1 Day training (Multi-Agency)

One day course for those who have already completed the 2 Day Introductory course with Jackie Webb. This course aims to embed the spirit, principles and technical skills of Motivational Interviewing
Course Objectives:
- Be reminded of the spirit and principles of Motivational Interviewing
- Become more confident and proficient in the use of reflections, including depth of reflection with direction
- Be able to integrate reflections with other counselling skills (OARS)
- Recognise the benefit of using affirmations to build confidence and enhance motivation
- Recognise signs that indicate readiness to change and help clients move towards activation
- Be able to recover from ‘mistakes
Target Audience: This course is for all BCP Children's Services Social Care, Early Help and our BCP Multi-Agency Partners
Venue:
- A Hearing Loop is installed at this venue.
- Refreshments: Tea, coffee, water and biscuits are available on this course but meals are not provided.
- There is no parking on site during school hours.
