We believe good children’s services are delivered through good relationships, inside and outside of the organisation. It is our aim to work with partners to grow our offer and to promote a consistent approach to vulnerable children and their families across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
Bournemouth University
Bournemouth University (BU) and BCP Council have a long-standing partnership that led to setting up our current regional Teaching Partnership with Dorset and Wiltshire. BCP Council host and lead this partnership.
Our partnership contributed to the success of Social Work Programmes at BU, being rated as the best university to study Social Work by the Guardian in 2020 and achieving a 96.5% satisfaction rate in the National Student Satisfaction Survey in 2021.
BU and BCP have now taken this cooperation and co-production further and developed a Partnership Academy to use their combined expertise to set up a new Workforce Development offer for all practitioners working with Children and their Families.
