James Duffy's Story

Learning from the experiences of James emerged from a complaint to the (then) Borough of Poole Children’s Services from his parents. James was at the time of the incident resident in a local care provision which was subsequently closed.

James was a much-loved son, who sadly passed away in March 2021 as a result of his life-limiting health condition.

Agencies involved in James’s care, together with his parents, are keen for practitioners, services and other parents / carers to learn from his story, which summarised in the documents below.
